It has a 24kt gold vermeil sailor clasp. Choose your preferred length in the options.
It’s design was inspired by the intricately made flower garlands exchanged by bride and groom in Hindu weddings. Handmade from fragrant roses, spider lilies, frangipani, paras, jasmine, and marigolds these garlands are known as varmalas, jaimalas or simply malas.
Historically, Gandharva Vivah one of the eight forms of Hindu Wedding based purely on love and passion, was sealed simply by an exchange of garlands.
Malas remain a symbol at modern weddings to express purity, honour, goodwill, love, and beauty. They are made of brightly coloured flowers so that the visual impact is lasting on paeople’s minds. The exchange symbolises their love and respect for one another.
